Welcome to 6th Grade Math!
I am so thrilled you have you in my classroom this year for math! We are going to have a wonderful year full of laughter and learning. Before we get this year off to a start, I thought you might want to know a little bit about me!
I am originally from Jackson, Mississippi. I moved to Texas to go to Baylor University (Sic ‘em Bears!!) where I earned a degree in Elementary Education. I have lived in Texas ever since!
I am married to my husband, Zackary. We live in Killeen; he is in the Army and stationed at Fort Hood. We have two dogs, or as I like to call them, “fur babies.” One is a Yellow Lab named Odi, and the other is a German Shepherd name Kopper. You will hear plenty of stories about the trouble they get into!
This will be my third year to teach. I have taught 4th grade and 6th grade. I hope to make this year interactive and engaging. My goal is to share my passion for learning in hopes of creating lifelong learners.
I look forward to learning all about you and starting the year with positivity and excitement!
Mrs. Martella :)
